Marine Heaters for Military Use

Component Elements
Heating elements can be installed in existing devices as replacement parts or unique constructions. They are available in both standard types and special elements designed to meet or exceed military specifications.
Vent Duct Heaters
You can order a duct-style marine heater built to military specifications using finned tubular elements that use hermetically sealed terminals. It’s all encased in a stainless steel frame that is salt water and corrosion resistant and can be applied in strict non-magnetic environments. Our vent duct heaters follow MIL-STD-167-1 for shock and vibration controls.
Immersion Heaters
An immersion element heater is available to fit every application. From heaters intended for galley use to immersion elements designed for marine watermakers, you can get military grade units up to 480 kW output. Military spec, environment resistant outlet boxes are available to complete marine heater compliance.
Space Heaters
Two types of naval specification space heating applications are available. The original turret style heater, built to MIL-H-22663 standards, does not have any built in controls. The newer Navy specification marine heater includes built in thermostat controls. This disables the ability to control all units from a central location, but new standards are under consideration to take this into account, and will be available when they are approved.
